Pastor Profiles

Associate Pastor Dave Yarger	David is a graduate of Grand Canyon University where he earned a degree in Liberal Arts with a Music Minor. He is currently pursuing his seminary degree. David married up in life to his beautiful wife Amy. They have three amazing children: Benjamin, Kalei and Micah (with number 4 on the way). He enjoys meeting with folks for inordinately long amounts of time, developing relationships, being a jungle gym for his kids, and being challenged by God's Word and His people. On my personal journey I am coming to grips with the teachings of Jesus. Brennan Manning sums them up when he says, "blessed are you who are conscious of your lack of merit and readily open yourselves to divine mercy". That's me. Thank you Jesus for your boundless grace that saved a wretch like me!
Interim Teacher	Originally from Baltimore, MD, Pastor Friend L. Wells and his wife, Jonnie have lived in Richmond since 1990. Friend graduated from Towson State University in 1981 with degrees in Personnel Management and Natural Science. He has done graduate work at the International Christian Graduate University, Trinity International University and Reformed Theological Seminary.  Friend and Jonnie served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for eleven years. In 1992, Friend became the Associate Pastor of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Chesterfield County.  After five years at Cornerstone, Pastor Friend and a core group from Cornerstone launched a new church in Glen Allen. Christ Community Church held its first public worship service on Easter Sunday, 1998. Friend, Jonnie and their four children now live in Henrico County. Pastor Friend enjoys reading, gardening, and babying his 1968 Ford Fairlane.
